Profile

Diego Rodríguez Renovales

Architect & Systems Architect · Founder, BIM XL

Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico — working across the United States and Mexico

Twenty years building the production systems behind other people's buildings. I run BIM XL, the silent BIM production and process partner behind 200+ projects — Revit-native production, VDC coordination, and ISO 19650 process design, executed inside our clients' environments and under their standards.

How I work

I do not compete on price. I compete on capacity, precision, and systemic value. The firms I work with are not buying drafting hours — they are buying the ability to absorb more work without absorbing more payroll.

My background is the client side. I have signed the deadlines, owned the portfolio, and carried the risk of a model that could not be trusted. BIM XL is built to the standard I used to demand from vendors.

The through-line across every role I have held is the same: architecture is now an information problem. The drawing is an output. The database is the asset.
